Cadence Trilogy

A gypsy-set ring in high-carat gold, topaz deepening to warm amber under candlelight. Whoever made it favoured cannetille goldwork. The work is so even you would swear a machine did it, though none then could. It had spent two generations with a Milanese estate before it found its way to us, passed hand to hand and never once sold until now. Pieces like this do not come apart; they were built to be handed on.
