Rings · Belle Époque
Léontine, 1812
€9,750
A signet in platinum, sapphires at its centre.
The story
The whole point of this Belle Époque signet is restraint — sapphires, carrying a soft royal blue that seems to come from inside, and nothing more than fine millegrain. Each stone is closed in its own collet, the way settings were made before machines.
The last owner was a house in Haarlem; with a note in the box naming the woman who first wore it. It has outlived everyone who owned it and shows no sign of stopping.
