Passiflora Solitaire

A solitaire in platinum, old-European-cut diamonds cooler in daylight than you expect, never showy. Whoever made it favoured calibré-cut channel setting. It is back-carved so the light enters from behind — the maker's quiet trick. It had spent two generations with a Yorkshire estate before it found its way to us, passed hand to hand and never once sold until now. It asks very little of whoever wears it next and gives back a great deal.
