Rosalind, 1782
€5,460
A cuff of rose-cut diamonds in silver-topped gold.
The story
A small Georgian thing, and a serious one. The rose-cut diamonds is deepening to colourless white fire under candlelight, the cannetille goldwork unmistakable. Each stone is closed in its own collet, the way settings were made before machines.
It reached us out of a Bruges family, unworn for a lifetime and none the worse for it. It has outlived everyone who owned it and shows no sign of stopping.
