Earrings · Art Deco
Serafina, 1908
€9,750
A pair of girandole earrings, onyx swinging free.
The story
A small Art Deco thing, and a serious one. The onyx are cooler in daylight than you expect, never showy, the calibré-cut channel setting unmistakable. The gallery is sawn through with a saw-blade no thicker than a hair.
It reached us out of a house near Perth, unworn for a lifetime and none the worse for it. Nothing about it was made to impress, which is exactly why it does.
