The Bourbon Spray

A Mid-century wreath brooch, the citrines bright at arm's length, quiet up close. Each stone is closed in its own collet, the way settings were made before machines. It came to us from a house near Antwerp, still in the fitted box it was put away in. It has outlived everyone who owned it and shows no sign of stopping.
