The Carpathian Rivière

A Georgian rivière, the chrysoberyl deepening to quiet colour under candlelight. It is finished on the inside as carefully as on the face, where no one would ever look. It came to us from a Florentine family, still in the fitted box it was put away in. It is the kind of thing you buy once and never think to replace.
