Vespers Danglers

A pair of pendeloque earrings in 18-carat yellow gold, citrines bright at arm's length, quiet up close. Whoever made it favoured sculpted goldsmithing. Each stone is closed in its own collet, the way settings were made before machines. It had spent two generations with a Milanese estate before it found its way to us, passed hand to hand and never once sold until now. It has outlived everyone who owned it and shows no sign of stopping.
