Wisteria Fringe No. 2

This collar is Belle Époque through and through — sapphires, carrying a soft royal blue that seems to come from inside, set in fine millegrain. The work is so even you would swear a machine did it, though none then could. We bought it from an estate in the Douro, with the original receipt still tucked inside the lid. Pieces like this do not come apart; they were built to be handed on.
